Landfill of waste plastic products in the soil will affect the absorption of nutrients and water by plants, because non-degradable plastic products are made of expanded polystyrene, polyethylene or polypropylene, with a molecular weight of more than 20,000, and it takes more than 200 years for natural decay and degradation .

In order to fundamentally curb the large amount of "white pollution" caused by the use of non-degradable plastic products in Hainan Province, and protect the ecological environment, after more than a year of research and exploration, the Provincial Ecological Research Institute has developed the production technology of "completely biodegradable plastic products" The project was introduced to our province, and the first bio-based fully degradable plastic product company was established. On the morning of March 10, the first 100% bio-based fully degradable plastic product project in Hainan Province was officially put into production. It is understood that the first phase of the project is expected to produce 1,500 tons of bio-based fully degradable plastic products. Its 100% biodegradable environmentally friendly products are mainly used to replace disposable non-degradable plastic shopping bags, garbage bags, agricultural films, cups, bowls, etc. Lunch boxes and so on.
