With the continuous update and rapid development of sterilization packaging materials, medical non-woven materials have entered the sterilization supply centers of hospitals at all levels as sterilization packaging materials. How to improve the quality of medical non-woven fabrics must pay attention to ten aspects of medical non-woven fabrics.

1. Medical non-woven fabrics are different from ordinary non-woven fabrics and composite non-woven fabrics. Ordinary non-woven fabrics have no bactericidal effect; composite non-woven fabrics have good waterproof effect and poor air permeability, and are generally used for surgical gowns and surgical bed sheets; medical non-woven fabrics are made of spunbond, meltblown, and spunbond (SMS) processes. It has the characteristics of anti-bacterial, hydrophobic, breathable and no dandruff. It is used for the final packaging of sterilized items, one-time use, no need to clean.

2. Validity period of non-woven fabric: The validity period of medical non-woven fabric itself is generally 2 to 3 years. The validity period of products from different manufacturers is slightly different. Please refer to the instructions for use. The sterile items packaged in medical non-woven fabrics are valid for 180 days and are not affected by the sterilization method.

3. The packaging of sterile items should add or subtract 5 grams of non-woven fabric 50g/m2.

4. When using medical non-woven fabrics to package surgical instruments, the airtight packaging method should be divided into two layers of non-woven fabrics. Repeated folding can form a long curved path to prevent microorganisms from "easily" entering the sterilization bag. The two-layer non-woven fabric cannot be packaged at a time.

5. Medical non-woven fabric quality standard requirements: the medical non-woven fabric used as the final packaging material for sterilized medical devices should meet the standard requirements of GB/T19633 and YY/T0698.2.

6. After the medical non-woven fabric is sterilized by high temperature, its internal results will change, which will affect the permeability and antibacterial performance of the sterilization medium. Therefore, the medical non-woven fabric shall not be sterilized repeatedly.

7. Due to the hydrophobic properties of non-woven fabrics, high temperature sterilization of excessive and heavy metal instruments will form condensed water during the cooling process, which is easy to produce wet packs. Therefore, water-absorbent materials should be placed in the large equipment bag, the carrying capacity of the sterilizer should be appropriately reduced, there should be space between the sterilizer bags, the drying time should be extended appropriately, and the wet bag should be avoided as much as possible. .

8. Special non-woven fabrics should be selected for low-temperature hydrogen peroxide plasma. Medical non-woven fabrics containing plant fibers cannot be used because plant fibers will absorb hydrogen peroxide.

9. Although medical non-woven fabrics are not medical devices, they are related to the sterilization quality of medical devices. As a packaging material, medical non-woven fabrics have their own quality and packaging methods are very important to ensure their quality. Sterility level.

10. According to the inspection report and product batch inspection report provided by the manufacturer, check and accept the physical and chemical properties of the medical non-woven fabric to ensure the quality of the products used.
